The Fellowship of the Ring
This is the original Fellowship that sets out to destroy the ring.Pictured are(top left to bottom right);Aragorn,Gandalf,Legolas,Boromir,Sam,Frodo,Merry,Pippin,Gimli

Gandalf the Grey
Gandalf,played by Ian Mckellan,is an old Wizard who leads Frodo toward Mordor.He is seperated from the Fellowship in the Mines of Moria,but makes a surprising return in THE TWO TOWERS. |

Boromir,son of Denethor
Boromir,played by Sean Bean,is a proud man from Gondor who wishes to use the ring to destroy Sauron.He is driven into attacking Frodo at Amon Hen,but he does not get the ring.He dies protecting Merry and Pippin from Saruman's Uruk-Hai in THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING. |
Samwise Gamgee
Sam,played by Sean Astin,is pehaps the most loyal of the Fellowship.He is an unseperable friend of Frodo,and will go to the very gate of Mordor if that is where "Master Frodo" goes.his loyalty endures til the end,even when Frodo's corruption nearly kills him in THE TWO TOWERS.I believe him to be my favorite of the Fellowship. |

Legolas,Prince of Mirkwood
Legolas,played by Orlando Bloom,is the swiftest member of the Fellowship.He is an elf,and is very handy with a bow.He is,perhaps,the only elf with a dwarf for a friend.He joins the Fellowship because of his love for the way of the elves. |
Frodo,son of Drogo
Frodo,played by Elijah Wood,is a simple hobbit with a deadly task.He is chosen as the ringbearer and must carry the ring to Mount Doom in Mordor.The ring burdens him much,but he understands he must stay true and save Middle Earth. |

Meriadoc Brandybuck
Merry,played by Dominic Monagahan,is a fun loving hobbit and a loyal friend to all.He and Pippin are 2 of a kind,and both of them wind up being heroes before the end. |
Peregrin Took
Pippin,played by Billy Boyd,is a young,mischeivous Hobbit who is the jolly companion of Merry.His curiosity often gets him into trouble,but on the inside he is a trustworthy member of the fellowship. |

Aragorn,son of Arathorn
Aragorn,played by Viggo Mortenson,is a ranger from the North who has come to claim the throne of Gondor which is rightfully his.Although he is strong,he feels always weakened to take the ring from Frodo. |
Gimli,son of Gloin
Gimli,played by John-Rhys Davis,is a stubborn Dwarf from Erebor.His father was part of the company that set out with Bilbo when he discovered the ring.Gimli hews orcs with amazing fierceness,and is well respected by all in the Fellowship. |

Saruman the Mad
Saruman,played by Christopher Lee,is an old wizard who was once good,but was swayed to the evil side by Sauron.Now he is a mad sorceror,with a massive army of merciless Uruk-hai. |
Arwen,Daughter of Elrond
Arwen, played by Liv Tyler, is an elven princess faced with a harsh decision.She must decide whether to remain on Middle-Earth with her love Aragorn or to go with her people to a land of forever peace and happiness.She could not bear to go with her people and leave Aragorn behind, but staying would mean never seeing her father again.Arwen is a spirited young lady, giving Aragorn the strength to defend his people and aid the ring-bearer. |
